THE REQUIREMENT

Plan beyond the backup.

A backup alone is not a continuity plan. Applications depend on data, connectivity, access and people. We assess these dependencies together, then agree which systems to restore first and how the recovery process will be tested.

Discuss your continuity requirements

ONE COORDINATED SCOPE

Protection. Recovery. Ongoing care.

Reduce exposure

Review endpoint and network protection, access permissions and maintenance needs around business-critical systems.

Protect recoverable copies

Plan backup scope, retention, copy locations and access controls for servers, databases, files and email. Verify that selected copies can be restored.

Plan the return to operation

Document recovery order, system dependencies, responsible people and alternative arrangements. Agree recovery-time and data-loss objectives before choosing the architecture.

Monitor, test and maintain

Review backup jobs and alerts, schedule recovery exercises and update operational guidance as systems change. Support coverage and escalation are agreed for each environment.

PLANNING SCENARIOS

Prepare the next step before it is needed.

A server becomes unavailable

Identify the affected applications and dependencies, then follow the agreed recovery sequence and validate access before returning systems to users.

Files are deleted or corrupted

Identify the required recovery point, restore to a controlled location and validate the information before replacing operational data.

A security incident disrupts work

Coordinate containment and assessment with the responsible teams. Validate the recovery environment and selected backups before resuming affected services.

From priorities to a tested plan.

01

Assess priorities

Map essential workflows, applications, data and dependencies with the business owners.

02

Agree the design

Define recovery objectives, backup policies, responsibilities and costs around the agreed scope.

03

Implement and exercise

Configure the selected controls, run representative restore tests and record findings and corrective actions.

04

Review as systems evolve

Handover operating guidance and agree periodic reviews, testing and support arrangements.

A documented handover

Final deliverables are agreed for your environment before implementation.

  • Critical-system and dependency register
  • Backup and retention policy
  • Recovery procedures and escalation contacts
  • Test findings and improvement actions

Before we begin.

No system design eliminates every risk. We agree recovery objectives and the measures needed to support them, then test and document the selected scenarios. Any contractual commitments are defined separately in the agreed scope.

We assess coverage, retention, access controls and restore results first. The plan can retain suitable tools and address gaps through configuration or integration rather than replacement.

We work with business owners to understand operational impact, acceptable interruption and acceptable data loss. These requirements guide recovery order, architecture and testing.
